Advertising on Facebook is a great and relatively cheap way to drive new fans to your page, promote specials and build your client base.
Things to keep in mind when creating your ad:
- What are you trying to achieve? – more fans on your page, more customers through your door or more traffic to your website
- Who is your target market? – Facebook makes it easy to select your demographics – male/female, age, location, interests
- What is your budget? – trial a few different scenarios with the daily limit and click rate
Once your ad is up:
- Monitor the response – you can make changes at any time if you feel it’s not working for you
- Check out the profiles of all the people clicking through and hitting “Like”
- Keep a record of your results to compare with future ad campaigns
When your ad campaign is over:
- Say hello and thank you to all your new fans
- Keep your status updates regular and interesting to engage everyone on your page
- Start thinking about your next campaign
